This course is in really good shape. The greens and fairways are well groomed and cared for. It's fairly open, so not too punishing on the high handicapper, but has some stragecially placed hazards to challenge even the low handicapper. For a public course, I would definitely have this on my to-do list in Chattanooga. The cost is reasonable and... More

Pretty solid Donald Ross designed 18 hole, regulation golf course. Course dates to 1925 or so and has a good layout. All of the greens and surrounds have been redone. Obviously, as a "muni" it could use some TLC, but this a nice course overall and worth a play if you enjoy golf. It's not a "destination" course by any... More

This is my husband's "go to" public golf course in Chattanooga. It's an inexpensive course, convenient to the area and yet challenging.

Very pleasant course, not too challenging, great price and value. Enough variety for a good outing with friends. I recommend this course.

Brainerd Golf Course is a nice public course not far from restaurants, Starbucks and Interstate I-75. The greens have been upgraded and are as nice as some of the area's private courses. You won't find many crowded days and the price is just right too. Lots of local Chattanoogan's use this course so if you are from out-of-town you might... More

New miniverde greens in summer of 2012 are as nice as you'll see at any private club. Course is not very long or too difficult but is in good shape and fun to play. Course holds water after heavy rains

Golfed here while in area for work. Really nice course. Tee boxes are flat (which is a big plus), fairways were decent, some real thin/bare spots but kept close. Roughs were nice, holes are pretty straight, slight dog legs but with lots of trees in the rough to get ya in some trouble. Nice little pro shop and reasonably priced... More

The Course nw831 described is Brown Acres! It does get a little soggy after several inches of rainfall. This course is good for beginners to average golfers. Wide open.

Worst golf course I have ever been too. There was poor drainage and almost all mud. It is right next to the interstate, so you have the constant sound of semi trucks. Plus it is near the Chattanooga airport which adds more noise and there is a train track that runs along the backside. I would recommend not going here.
