This is a wonderful family park on the north shore of the Tennessee River with a great view of the bridges crossing from downtown Chattanooga. It is at the foot of the Walnut Street Bridge - an historic old highway bridge saved from age and destruction by a benevolent community to be turned into a pedestrian bridge enjoyed by walkers,... This is a nice outdoor place to visit in Chattanooga. It is a really good family spot. Must also take the kids to the indoor carousel.

The Coolidge Park is a fun place to take children, especially in the warmer seasons. It offers fountains to play in and a beautiful indoor merry-go-round.

We were looking for the Coolidge Park carousel but found it hard to find. Our map seemed to be outdated. The Staff was perfect very helpful with recommendations.. not to mention knowledgeable about the carousel history.

In the summer months the park has a fountain that children have fun playing in and it is the home of a wonderful antique carousel. Pets aren't allowed. There is... More

The expansive park was beautiful and green when we visited. There's a conveniently located parking lot, making for a somewhat short walk to the carousel and splash pad. Inexpensive fun in Chattanooga!

I never knew about this place until this weekend. The wide open spaces are very inviting and I'm sure used well during spring and summer. The carousel was a pretty one and my girlfriend and I enjoyed our ride on it. It took us back to our childhood.

There have been problems here but that was about a year ago...I have seen or heard of anything lately. Now having said that this is a great area of Chattanooga. My grandson, nieces and nephews love the Carousel. It's especially nice in the spring, summer when it's not too hot and fall. Kids do like playing in the water especially... More

A great quiet park for an afternoon walk. The city view and shops nearby makes for a delightful visit.
