My honest opinion of this attraction is that you're getting more out of the experience of riding a literal feat of engineering and a piece of history, than anything else. No matter how they spin it in advertisements, it's not super thrilling. Yes, it's steep....More

The Chattanooga Incline Railway is NOT worth the cost and the wait time. We bought an online three ticket package which included Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railway. Both Rock City and Ruby Falls accepted the digitlal tickets that we’re sent to us...More

What a fun ride. I think they told us that this is the steepest incline railway in the world. It's a mile ride. Super steep. More than 70% grade at the steepest part. Kids will love it (us adults did too). Such a fun way...More

Even though I am afraid of heights I totally recommend riding the incline for a once in a lifetime experience with spectacular views. Treat yourself to some good ice-cream at the bottom or maybe some fudge at the top. Great photo opportunities.

Rode the incline Railway, with family, while in Lookout Mountain, Ga. What a fun ride going backwards up the mountain to Chattanooga and back down the mountain. The rail car steps and seats are on an angle. The ceiling is glass so you get a...More

Read a lot of complaints about having to wait to long for return trip. Definitely did not experience that! We went early on Sunday and was able to board immediately for the trip back up the mountain. Beautiful views and cool history!

It is a short trip, but absolutely amazing views! It gets up to around 72 degrees at the top, and the seats are even tipped back so you do not slide out of them on the way down. The view from the top is spectacular...More

This is something that a lot of people will think is no big deal. Once you are in there and see what it took for them to do this railroad it is truly amazing. To think that this is the only way people could get...More

This rail is truly at at incline: and was a great view to the valley below. We ate ice cream at the bottom stop, and were ready for the trip to the top. Parking can be tight at the top, but the neighborhood is beautiful.

This is truly a unique and fun way to ascend Lookout Mountain. It is very easy to find, cheap and an enjoyable way to get a great view of the area. Once at the top, it is then a very short walk to the Battle...More

We parked up at the top near Point Park, took the Incline down & had lunch (Purple Daisy fabulous!), then took it back up again. Parking at top was easy & the meters were free when we were there a few weeks ago. But you can... More
