We visited here as a side trip from Atlanta to Nashville. When driving through Chattanooga you will pick up signs for Lookout Mountain. Half way up there was a guy waiving drivers over to the right. This is the parking area for the other attractions. If you want to drive to the top of the mountain yourself, go straight past... More

Not very far from The centre of town. You can either drive up or get the incline railway for a unique trip. A very pleasant park at the top and super views of Chatannooga

I might have enjoyed this more if it was not raining. The view was spectacular but it thought the price was steep. Not very good directions on the trails. It was slick and uneven in places. Like I said I might have had a better time on a sunny day.

To be able to see this natural wonder is a privilege - we have been here before - but it always is a new experience - well worth making the trip!!

I grew up exploring the Gorges of Ithaca , NY and the Caverns in Albany region so I was a little disappointed in the over commercializations of these natural wonders. That said, it is totally worth the visit! Out can choose to use your cell phone for a guided tour, or simply listen to the soothing music and sound pumped... More

This is always a great experience! The grandkids loved taking the different trails--there is so much to see!! And the ability to see so far and to see the beauty of rivers, mountains, the gardens, the city, and all of nature's beauty is so worth your time.

Made a stop in Chattanooga on my way to Pigeon Forge. Rock City was beautiful! It was my first time, at Rock City, and I was so happy I made the stop. Well worth the time spent. So peaceful there. The view is outstanding!! I went in the morning and it was cool and cloudy but the sun came out... More

We were not prepared for all of the walking here but it was so worth it. We took a 2 and 5 year old and they loved it.

We had no expectations of Rock City botanical gardens but would now consider it a "must see" when visiting the Chattanooga area. The garden are so unusual and the experience was a combination of discovery, adventure and exercise. We had a lot of fun exploring.

This review primarily refers to Rock City on Lookout Mountain. I greatly enjoyed most of this property, and would recommend it to anyone who can walk in tight places, with a bit of ups and downs, and undergrounds. Rock City exceeded my expectations, with the highlight being the views of the mountain side waterfall. Definitely awesome! The unusual rock formations,... More
