Too many people are allowed on a tour together. Never got to get close enough to falls because there was too many people. Tour guide hates her job, was very boring & whiney voice didn't help experience.

I've seen the signs all my life. I've driven past the area hundreds of times. Finally, we stopped!! It was a cool, beautiful walk under ground and the falls are breathtaking. Worth the time and money.

The waterfall is beautiful, the cave is neat to walk through..... A guided tour is the only way to see it. It is long and annoying. It took an hour and a half easy.....you are jam packed in the cave with people squeezing past you....More

Interesting things to see under the mountain but… just be prepared to exercise your patience. The actual cave is wonderful and the different colors and designs make interesting rock structures. The Guides are friendly, loud and informative; perfect for directing large groups of people. Going...More

Of all the Look Out Mountain attractions, this was our favorite. The kids had a great time and Savannah who was our tour guide, did a great job.

We went here on a family trip. None of us really expected to walking through a tight squeezed cave, but hey, none of us really researched it to a T. It's definitely worth every minute of the walk. You get to learn about the history...More

We went to both Raccoon Mountain Caverns and Ruby Falls and enjoyed both. Ruby Falls has fewer spectacular formations, but the falls (named after the wife of the discovered, not the color) are incredible. There is a great view from the tower after the cave...More

Yes, you can definitely visit both in one day; but consider the time it takes to complete your tour of Ruby Falls (which may be about 1.5 hrs.) to see if you have time for the Incline Railway. To me it seems best to start... More

You can show up anytime. If they are open you are good! Just enter, go to the right & get in line for the elevator. It’s super simple ;-)
