Beautiful Middle TN State Park. On site swimming pool, family restaurant, hotel, cabins, & camp sites with electricity & water access. River access to fish, & a gravel bar for the kids to play in the shallow water & catch crawfish. Canoe rentals near by. Nice golf course to play a challenging18 hole game, then visit the clubhouse for a... More

Hidden away at Henry Horton State Pard is a great place to golf. The fairways and greens are in good conditions. I have played at this location 5 or 6 times and always been pleased. Expect to have sand traps and very fast greens. The greens are large and tiered. This is one of my favorite courses. The people I... More

The park offered extremely clean cabins that were comfortable and well supplied. I took my sons and wished we had been able to stay longer. There was so much to do and see! I highly recommend this facility for families that enjoy the outdoors!

We had a great weekend tent camping at Henry Horton (first weekend of October) and here is what was great, and what was not. The pros are that it's a nice park that is easy access from Nashville, and has good separation of RV sites from tent sites. If I had to do it again, the primitive sites (5 and... More

Thanks for your feedback and assessment, NashvilleCamper. It's definitely true that a local private gun range and road traffic can at times be heard in the campground. We do think there are a lot of great activities for visitors and overnight guests, and we hope that you will come back and visit us again when the water is higher in... More

It's always peaceful and kids can play at the playground, when finished playing on some days it's also nice to enjoy the buffet style restraint.

They have a great buffet for lunch and dinner. Some nights they have a seafood buffet. On Thanksgiving Day they have turkey and dressing, ham as well as all the trimmings!

We received an email with deals on lodging at a couple of different Tennessee Sate Park Lodges. We chose Henry Horton and had a nice stay. We stayed in the Lodge for three nights and found it to be a bit run down compared to other state lodges we have visited (many!). There is nothing attractive about this lodge...nothing. In... More

Thank you for your recent stay and review of the Inn and Restaurant at Henry Horton State Park. I am always happy to receive feedback from our guests to help us improve our services. Currently we are working within the park’s state appropriated budget to upgrade as much of the 50 year old Inn and Restaurant as possible. Plans are... More

Nice and quiet, well maintained. Stop to camp for one night just to sleep, RV hookups were good, no TV stations on antenna

We skipped Cedars of Lebanon because we knew the pool was already closed there. Turns out, it was closed at HH as well... They just never bothered to update the website that said it closed on August 6th. The trails were well marked but there were many downed trees that required some contortions to get over/around.

Michael, We're very sorry about your experience with the pool. The pools at state parks close in early August because many of our lifeguards and summer staff are high school students. Once school starts back, we are unable to staff the required number of guards to operate the pools safely. We apologize that this information was not updated on our... More
