In Nov, the colors were really showing! Also amazing that the water level was so high. Had it not been cold and windy, we would've kayaked into the Cherokee forest.

We have spent many, many years of fun and relaxation on this beautiful clean, clear, cool mountain lake raising our children and grandchildren. Summers on our houseboat now that we are retired. Always anxious to return each year!

Beautiful lake with beautiful mountains surrounding it nothing else to say. Also stop by some of the local wineries like Villa Nove (breathtaking view) or Watauga Lake Winery (great pizza and Rosé).

A very deep mountain lake that has lots of shoreline w/o houses, it does get crowded in certain areas and you have , like all lakes, boaters that have no clue on how to drive a boat or the rules
