Both the Observatory as such and the presentation of the history were very exciting and can be recommended. Our visit was only four days before the 2017 total solar eclipse and that gave the visit an extra flavor

We visited on a Friday night for the monthly open house they do with the telescope. Got to see Jupiter and its moons and learn a little about astronomy. I also enjoyed seeing the meteor rocks in the little museum section downstairs. Would highly recommend!

I recently went to Dyer Observatory for a songwriter's night (the venue was in back of the building) but the biggest treat was that the entire observatory was open to the patrons along with volunteers to explain various aspects of the exhibits. Best of all,...More

We went on a tour of the observatory in May and loved it. They have lots of lectures and star gazing times. There is a small cost involved and you do need to "sign up" when things come out but get on the mailing list...More
