It was a lot of fun to be able to walk through the Mellette house.The kids enjoyed it too. The hours are pretty specific, so check ahead. The staff was great!

This is an interesting part of South Dakota history! Beautiful museum! Free admission, donations accepted. The furnishings are absolutely beautiful!

This historical Governors Home is well kept, full of history, and worth the tour. The view is beautiful to the lake and the Historical Society gives you so much information, it leaves you in awe! Great learning for the whole family!

Beautifully restored Italianate home of SD first governor. Many of the furnishings belonged to the Mellettes. Very knowledgable guide. Have known about the house for years and definitely glad I finally visited.
