Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The art center is set up beautifully. I would recommend reading the information provided as it really tells you the history. I enjoyed the QR code’s as it was quick access to the information. You could spend hours here.

We had been Terry Redlin fans for awhile. To drive up to this amazing museum with it's pristine grounds immediately gives you warm feelings. The staff was so wonderful. Listen to Mr. Redlin tell his stories of his artwork through your phone. His America Series and his First's Series will bring you to tears. They take you back to a simpler time. And of course, the gift shop was amazing. You'll definitely walk out of there a little lighter in the pocketbook, but nothing exorbitant, just beautiful memories.

My wife and I stopped here for a little exercise after lunch. We had been here before but it had been a few years since the last time. We don't walk fast any more but we still cover all the floors to take in the beauty of Redlin's brush. We marvel at the paintings as they seem to come alive before us. This is a unique way to experience the fabulous talents of Terry Redlin and it's free to the public. So If you are ever in Watertown, SD take the time to get out and stretch and enjoy these fabulous works of art.

Amazing museum and staff. Incredible art work, and great plaques explaining the history of the painting. We had never heard of him, but were delighted to view such masterpieces.

The museum is free, and just an overall gorgeous place. Purpose built and well designed.

Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming.

The Terry Redlin Museum is an incredible gift to Watertown, South Dakota, and this great nation! When driving south on I-29, this massive mansion is easily seen and prominently located just to the west of I-29. Seriously! You can’t miss it! Even the amazing property around the mansion is wonderfully landscaped. Pure joy!

Admission is free! Go in and see the original paintings that Terry Redlin has created during his life. Take your time walking through this fantastic place. Let Redlin’s paintings tell you the story about his life. His heart and soul was put into each of his paintings. If you spend time thinking about each painting, and the artist responsible for each painting, you come to know a pretty remarkable person. Merci Beaucoup! (Wed. June 3rd 2020)

The staff at the Terry Redlin Museum are awesome. They treat you like family. The museum is handicap accessible -- just a beautiful place. The grounds the museum is on is worth walking around on.

This is a must see art museum if you are in the area. It is easily visible from I-29, and is a very easy on/off from the highway. The grounds are beautiful, the museum is world-class, and Terry Redlin artwork is amazing.

Oh yes, another plus ... It's free. No admission fee.

Terry Redlin is a South Dakota artist and this museum is built to showcase his beautiful art work. The story of his life lives in this museum. From grade school pencil sketches to his stunning full size art work from his later years. There is so much about him I did not know. It is truly worth a look. The museum is free to visit but does ask for a donation to help with operations. There are also gift shops and when you buy an item the cost helps support the museum.

I have wanted to visit this place for quite some time. I was not disappointed!! The building itself was magnificent and the inside did not disappoint!! Terry Redlin was a true artist and his misuem highlights his paintings and tells his story. There are small rooms dedicated to his early drawings in pencil and artwork he complicated for college courses. All of his artwork is displayed with story plaques about each paintings story.
