Very touristy and a bit cheesy, but had fun!

This stop is a must simply to say you've been there and to see all the unique things it holds. My children wanted to buy something at every turn which was a bit annoying, but... read more

First visit here was probably in early 1950s as a child. The comic figures in the windows were about my only memory. So, while in the area, we thought we'd drop in again. Couldn't get away fast enough. A giant commercial juggernaut that has taken over the whole town. Thousands of things to buy . . . none of which... More

This stop is a must simply to say you've been there and to see all the unique things it holds. My children wanted to buy something at every turn which was a bit annoying, but could understand because there is visual overload everywhere you look. We got the obligatory free ice water (love the history behind it), ice cream and... More

We stop each time we drive by and have never been disappointed. This fun road side attraction is built up by hundreds of billboards for hundreds of miles which make you want to stop out of curiosity. The payoff is great as they have plenty of shops, good food and activities for everyone. Give yourself an hour or two but... More

We were driving from Sioux Falls to Wall and I've never seen so many signs for one place, even after we left Sioux Falls the signs started. Probably spent about an hour and a half here including dinner in the cafe which is very large, food is average but reasonably priced and coffee is 5 cents. Bought a few small... More

Certainly not my cup of tea though others seemed to enjoy it. I didn't know cheap trinkets and magnets could fill a city block.

Planned to give Wall Drug a skip, assuming it would be a South Dakota version of Gatlinburg (no offense, please)! The kids got such a kick of reading the signs that I relented and we stopped for lunch. They actually had a blast. We did not properly explore, but had a few edible burgers (not great) for lunch and grabbed... More

The thing that saves this place is its cafe and its ice cream store. The Wall Drug "mall", if you will, is one of those places that's become famous for being famous. They have more Badlands/Wall Drug/South Dakota souvenirs than you can shake a stick at. There's not that much to write home about, and the place is always crawling... More

Yes, it's a tourist trap, but a very unique place. It would be a shame to drive by Wall, SD and not stop here for at least a few minutes. Tons of souvenir quality merchandise, with some nicers stores and activities mixed in.

You will signs for Wall Drug for hundreds of miles on I-90; you have to stop just to say you did it. It's a standard tourist spot, but there is a lot to look at and the young kids will enjoy it. You can't come this close and miss it; anyone that has ever driven I-90 in SD knows Wall... More
