Opened in 2001 in what was the original 1937 Sturgis Post Office is a gem of a collection of motorcycles. Two floors of vintage bikes with the history of each. A fee of $15 for two with a discount over 65 years of age...a bargain....More

We visited the Museum while we were in Sturgis attenting the festivities last year. If you want to be amazed at the motorcycle history, do not pass this place by. We really learned and saw a lot of old motorcycles that were restored to their...More

We are not motorcycle buffs but this museum is a definite stop in a town known for its motorcycle rally. The amount of old motorcycles that are still in great condition is remarkable. We enjoyed our walk through history.

We are not die hard motorcyclists, so the museum was satisfactory but not awesome for us. The bikes are interesting, but it is set up more like a bike show display than a museum of the HISTORY of motorcycles. I felt the price was reasonable,...More

It is easy to overlook the Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame, but you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not make the time to visit.

Not far from my Sturgis brick. Its a great motorcycle museum and I go there every year. Great place to take a break from riding and grab a cold one.

Comprehensive collection of motorcycle memorabilia and artifacts. Covers almost every type of bike you can think of (though Harleys dominate). We had to be in Sturgis for sad reasons (death of a loved one), but this museum really cheered us up, and the folks running...More

As stated by Barry, $10 to $12 range. And yes, we got a buck off for being old folks! It's totally worth it as the museum is supported by the fees and donations.

We were at your museum last month, we enjoyed it very much. I took a lot of pictures but I missed one. There was a motorcycle still in the original shipping crate. It was one of only a few manufactured by a company that went bankrupt. I would like to know the name of it if possible.

The bike you are asking about is an Excelsior Henderson Super X. There were under 2000 of them manufactured in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. We're so glad you enjoyed our museum. Please let me know if you have other questions.
