This was a fun location. They teach the days before humans walk the earth. They claim to have the biggest rock collection in the world. And they did have alot!

Great museum and best of all it's free. It's a smaller museum on a college campus, but they have an impressive collection that would make other museums jealous. Definitely worth the time if you like dinos or rocks/minerals

Great free museum self guided tour. Lots of fossils from the Badlands area. Also features a great collection of rocks and gems.

This museum is small, but FREE! Which is a good price for a family of a budget! My kids loved the exhibits and we thought it was well laid out. A quick stop when you are in Rapid City.

The people who work here are very friendly and knowledgeable. Anyone who is interested in rocks, should visit here. They have beautiful displays. Lots of fossils, too.

Pretty cool. Some of the fossils are replicas, which is a bummer. Very small so it doesn't take long to go through. But it's free!
