This was the last part of a Tatanka museum tour which took us to Deadwood. The guide had a very colorful and funny narrative that told about the history of Deadwood. We laughed all the way through the tour. It was conducted in an old school bus which would be hot on a sunny day. We managed well because we... More

We took the 11:30 one-hour Deadwood tour on a Thursday morning. The pick-up point is right downtown. The bus is obviously is a former school bus and has the markings just painted over with primer (not exactly impressive at first sight). The price at $10 is very reasonable. Our tour bus driver and narrator, Randy, was a rapid-fire non-stop source... More

We had a short time passing through, but decided to take this bus tour, since it was only one hour. We got a great history, and were taken up to Mt. Moriah cemetery and shown the graves of the notorious. If we had driven up, we would have had to walk the steep hills in the cemetery to see what... More

We love tours. They give you history, often mixed with legend and humour. This tour did it all. Costner bought the hotel and this tour, but that's where his involvement ends. Locals have been giving the tour for years, and continue to please folks. Getting a good tour guide is always hit and miss, so best of luck. We had... More

If you're short on time and don't want to walk around town reading all the interpretive signs or you've forgotten you old west history, this a great tour. It gives a brief history of the area and historical figures while showing you where events took place. We enjoyed our tour bus driver and his commentary.

Highly recommend Deadwood. Great day out. Authentic. Old fashioned town. Lots to do. Take Kevin Costner's original deadwood tour. About an hour. Takes you through the town and then to the cemetery where Wild Bull Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried. Also visit Kevin Costner's hotel hotel, Midnight Star. You can see all of his costumes and memorabilia from many... More

Very, very enjoyable tour bus of Deadwood and the Mt Moriah Cemetery. Lasts 1 hour. Park at train depot (50 cents per hour). Change machines there. Walk & get tickets at 677 Main Street where you board bus.

We toured but had already eaten prior to going there. This place was highly recommended for there food. Unfortunately, we did not eat, but I would highly recommend touring this place if you are in the area. We were told by the staff that Kevin Kostner often visits unanounced. We werent lucky enough to see him but perhaps you might... More

The tour was more about Wild Bill Hickcock than anything else. I would have liked to learn more about the history of the area and the gold rush. Our guide was quite the character and we enjoyed him a lot.

While Dave is a comedian, it grew a bit tiresome, I could handle that. What I did not like was his politically biased commentary, thinly veiled, assuming all his customers shared this point of view. I was very disappointed and did not find it a good value.
