Wild Bill was holding a Full House of Aces and Eights when he was shot from behind. He ALWAYS sat facing the saloon doors, but this time had his back to it. A neat atmosphere and a part of western history.....

Firstly, this is the "new" Saloon #10 - not to be confused with the original Saloon #10 where Wild Bill Hickok was shot. But it sure looks like it could have been the spot. Employees in character for an old western saloon (see pic). Lots...More

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that you thought this location was the "new" location. The original Saloon #10 was burnt down in 1876, the entire town of Deadwood was engulfed in this fire. After the fire they moved Main St. away...More

Been coming here for many years. The "American Whiskey Bar" tag is only a few years old, but it was great even before that. Glad to see the wide whiskey selection. Always fun on the bar side, been there on some very fun band nights....More

Decided to go watch the free reenactment and we decided it was one of our very favorite things in Deadwood! The actors were great with the audience and were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend for all ages!!

It is a novelty place to visit. It brings the old west to life. It is bar and gift shop. Fun to walk through and see the antiques.

Really cool, relaxing place. Staff was nice. Sawdust on the floor. Crazy crap on the walls. Bunches of history. I loved it and if we would have had more time... we would have went back.

We went during the day and, although we don't have kids, it was definitely family-friendly. Very cool place. They call themselves a museum with a bar inside. Plus, they have a really cool skit depicting Wild Bill's murder. I... More
