This was a "sleeper" attraction. It was very interesting and beautifully landscaped. There is a nice little museum and an educational reconstructed log cabin. Even though they were setting up for an event that evening, everyone was very polite and welcoming.

If you're looking for things to write home about, this is one of those things. Although not really located in the center of the nation - supposedly, the "true" center is about 20 miles away in a private field, Belle Fourche saw an opportunity to...More

Went to SD for a week long trip. What a wonderful place to visit. There was so much to see and do. This was one of our stops and very interesting. Cute little cabin to stop and walk through also.

We stopped here on the way to Devil's Tower. It was a fun stop and of course we knew the story of the real marker being in a field so we had to take a drive out there too. We went to Belle Fourche to...More

Bummer...we were on a rushed day. ATVs in the Black Hills, Deadwood tour, Devil’s Tower. Rushed through Devil’s Tower to get to Center OT Nation Monument. Sadly it was closed already. Still neat to walk around the grounds, see the old cabin, and the old...More

We made a special trip to see this monument because we thought it was neat to be able to see the geographic center of our country. It seems like it is too far north, but it takes into account Alaska and Hawaii. The actual center...More

Yes, it's a bit silly, but we had to go there to get a picture in the center of the nation. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful setting. The museum/visitor center contains a lot of history and is well worth stopping in.

Everything is very well maintained and you can tell that the town takes pride in their Center of the Nation Monument.
