Took some friends on the train several years ago. Trip was interesting, but begs for some narration to explain what we’re seeing out the windows. Even a recorded message would work. There’s so much history on the trip. Passengers need to know!

Nice museum with a gallery and few old cars such as sleepers, mail car. A small gift shop.Free entry. Nice for kids. Very large parking.

The schedule does vary somewhat throughout the year - see their web site for specifics and buy tickets ahead instead of waiting in line. That way you get your choice of cars. But in general the schedule right now is Wed thru... More

It is free most of the time. But they charge for specific event like Halloween party.
