The Charleston Tea Plantation is the home of American Classic Tea, tea grown in America. It is located on picturesque Wadmalaw Island in the heart of South Carolina's Lowcountry. Its grounds include 127 acres of Camellia Sinensis tea plants, a working Tea Factory and a charming Plantation Gift Shoppe. Also available to guests is an adventurous and educational Trolley Tour that explores the scenic grounds that produce American Classic Tea. Complimentary tea is served to visitors throughout the day

Visited the tea plantation and took the trolley tour... very informative... know more about tea now than I ever did 😀. They also have free tea samples... yum. My favorites were the green tea and raspberry tea.More

A rare gem chance to see how tea is grown, harvested, and flavored. We were quite impressed with Mr. Hall's ingenuity and were fascinated by the tour. The free tea samples in the gift shop were a really nice touch. Our favorite flavor was peach.More

Such a peaceful place! Our trolley tour guide, John Kennedy, was exceptionally knowledgeable and pleasant. The tea plants were/are mostly dormant this time of year but the history of the plantation is very interesting and educational. A pleasant way to spend some time.More

The trolley ride and the little tour of the tea making process were quite interesting. It is not a beautiful sight, and I didn't much care for the tea, but I was glad to support the only tea plantation in the US.More
