Little gem of Salem, took the natural bridge hike. Only 1.3 miles but be careful of the last .5 uphill . Took a lunch down to the launch very nice view of the river and golf course. Great info center in 100 year old church. Don't miss it if you have time

Visited the park on Labor Day weekend. Nice hiking trail (2 actually) 1.3 mile trail was moderate difficulty, bug free no real God views. Some small trickle waterfalls. But a good hike. Lake access for kayaks. But the picnic area is across the highway, this area is just for picnics, pavilions and rest rooms. No lake access. Picnic sites are... More

One ranger there clearly do not want the foreign campers who use this park to use the Free Wifi or ( God Forbid !) if you actually plug in your laptop into an electrical outlet on the outside of THEIR plush rangers cabin. One turned off the WiFi! Can one get any more mean spirited? Park itself nice clean bathrooms... More

This was our first stay in this park. We used 2 sites in the designated tent area and were pleased with our stay. The bathhouse was clean as well as the rest of the park. There are no trash cans so take it with you when you leave. We really enjoyed the picnic area across the road. We used it... More

One of the best, or the best, camping ever because of the price and great setup of the camping sites..Very nice dock for kayaks and swimming, it is very nice and clean spot, water, and there are 2 small sand beaches too ( 3 min drive by car, very steep road). Some locals in the weekend in dock area, but... More

Quiet camp sites. Only 10, staying away from the hustle and bustle of large lake access. Boat access to the lake "lake Keowee" within 5 miles. Park has many hiking trails and the Rangers are EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. Even though a small park, plan several weeks ahead as many people like the non hustle bustle of a larger park setting.

Keowee-Toxaway State Park – 14 tent & 10 RV sites with water & electricity. Though there is a small recycle location at the dump/bathhouse, this is a trash free park (carry in-carry out). Garbage bags are available at the office. Park registration and ranger service(s) are limited to 11 AM - Noon & 4 PM - 5 PM. Alcohol is... More

The camp sites are on top of each other. Unfortunately we had 2 camp sites that were not respectful of the 10 p.m. quiet time ( Midnight for one and 1:00 am for the other). One family continued to walk through our site even though we picked the site furthest from the others. The park office closes at 5:00 pm... More

It is really beautiful here in the foothills. Campsites are a bit close together, but the lake and hiking around the area make up for that. Bathhouse was clean and accessible. Most people here were quiet, respectful, and friendly.
