The Sumter Opera House is a treasure in our town. The beautiful decor takes you back to an earlier time when going to the theater was an experience. The Opera House is host to many events, both family oriented, comedy shows, and musical events.

This is a venue more so than an attraction. And because it is in the middle of Main Street, that adds to its charm. During the summer months one day a week they have dollar movies that are geared toward the children. Also a place...More

The Sumter Opera House has many parking options and all are free. There is a large parking lot between Main & Harvin Street (behind the Opera House) and a parking garage located on Hampton Avenue.
