This a great place to take the kids or your sweetie. There are swans from around the world as well as other native birds, turtles and other critters (I didn't see any alligators). They are accustomed to humans, so you can get fairly close before they move away. With the calm water, it's nice for photography of the birds with... More

Swan Lake is a place for kids and adults to just kick back and listen to nature. There are places for the kids to play, place to be quiet and reflect on the day and the future. Watching the swan cruise on the water makes you slow down and realize how wonderful it is to be here and see all... More

My husband and I visited recently after hearing many people talk about Swan Lake. We enjoyed the walk around the lake and the various gardens. I think it was still a little too early to enjoy a lot of flowers, but I'm sure we'll be back again soon since it's not that far from our house. We enjoyed seeing all... More

This is one place that will never be the same the next visit. The gardens are lovely year round. The wildlife seem to always be posing. Don't miss the Christmas display!

Great walking paths, lots of moms with strollers and even a school day trip when we visited. Too early in the season for flowers to be blooming but the area is so quiet and peaceful it's a joy to just walk the trails and anticipate the coming beauty. Great place for families to visit on weekends too. Keep up the... More

My husband and I enjoyed walking the paths around the lake and seeing the different types of swans. This is a very nice park, especially to be maintained by the city and to have free admission. Some unique touches are the "Talking Tree" path and the Chocolate Garden (maintained by local Master Gardeners).

Absolutely one of the nicest gardens I have visited in South Carolina. It's free and offers hours of beauty, and enjoyment. You'll see tons of beautiful swans, stunning flowering trees, shrubs, lovely walking paths. Wear your comfy shoes and stroll these beautiful grounds. Worth the trip and certainly a great place to get lovely photo opportunities.
