Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Happened to pass by & thought it look like an interesting stop. Was so glad we did! The hostess was fun and engaging and walked us through their spirits in a very expert but not overwhelming fashion. We all loved the stop and picked up a few of their wonderful products. We will be back!

We had it visit when we were in the area, just because of the name. Great little historic distillery. Well worth the trip. My favorite is the Cookies and Cream, and I had to purchase a t-shirt. Small shop but the history is wonderful. It nice the see the some of the historic buildings are being restored.

With a name like that how could you not stop in? We did a tour, which included samples of their moonshine. Met one of the distillers who was very informative. Everyone we met there was very friendly. I’m not much of a liquor drinker but did try 2 different flavors. The cookies and cream was spot on. My husband tasted 6 different flavors and he enjoyed all of them. We ended up buying the cookies and cream to take home. Bought a few others items from their gift shop as well. The building itself is quite cool too. Would recommend you stop in if anywhere nearby.

Love the place and shine. Why is Bob such a cheap A__? Employees make up the cheapness! Have fun in Florida!

A very pleasant atmosphere in a relatively compact area. The original building is 165 years old and houses the entire business. Small batches, very enjoyable aged whiskey, a few flavors for those who can't handle the real stuff. The staff was very nice and informative. A few items like hats, shirts and other trinkets are available. Prices are reasonable for their whiskey. I'm definitely going back when I pass through again!

Super cute worth the drive if you’re are even close to the area. Bob the owner is obviously passionate about what he does. Recommend the tasting so you can pick your flavor. Definitely coming back. Take the time to ask about the history about the building that has stood its ground since 1857. Cookies and Cream is the best Love it!

After being disappointed a business in Spartanburg was out of moonshine, they recommended me to visit Sugar Tit. (That tells you something great about this place when a competitor recommends them). When I arrived here, I met a very nice lady that shared the story about Sugar Tit. She gave me a short little tour of the place. She explained where the name came from, which was interesting, especially to someone from the north that had no idea what it was. A sugar tit was a piece of sugar cane that mothers would put in the mouths of their babies when working the crops in the fields. It has a tremendous amount of nutritional value. I guess you learn something new every day.👍
The moonshine I bought was AWESOME!!! I ended up buying 5 different ones: peach, which I liked, but was probably my least favorite. I had Apple Pie, which was astounding!!!! I had Strawberry, which didn’t taste like strawberries. I put three quartered strawberries in it and let it sit for a week and it tasted great. I had blueberry, which was easily my second favorite. It has real blueberries in it, which really adds a good amount of flavor. And my favorite is:...... (drumroll please) Cookes’n Creme!!! Whoa!!! What a great flavor. It is sooo smooth and, well, you guessed it: creamy. It reminds a little bit of Irish Creme. Really really good stuff.
In conclusion, due to the really friendly workers here, the great tasting product and pretty reasonable price, I VERY highly recommend visiting here to get your next fix of moonshine when anywhere near the area. You’ll be glad you did. I know I was. In fact I liked it so much I came a second time this year when passing through. It’s always nice to support the small businesses.

We were lucky enough to see the billboard on the highway. With the unique name my wife and I HAD to visit. After a wonderful chat with the manager of the store (Mary) and a few samples of the legal moonshine, we got a lot of cool pieces and good corn liquor to bring home.
