Located in a small city this popular park offers a boat landing as well as a beach. The beach is a favorite site for finding fossilized shark teeth.

The Sands beach in the charming coastal town of Port Royal, SC is a wonderful place to visit. You can drive out onto the beach and park your car (be mindful of the high and low tides though) and watch for dolphins, listen to the...More

Nice little beach that you can pull your car right up to. We walked about a hundred yards down the beach and found a nice spot. Some people had dogs, some were fishing, some were looking for sharks teeth. All in all everyone was relaxing.

This is a very small beach with lots of broken shells on it. Unless you really need a beach fix, don't go out of your way.

I was happy to discover the Sands beach area. The reason for the visit was for our m/c riding group to take in another attraction. So riding over wasn't about swimming, surfing or boating it was about the boardwalk the observation tower and the view....More

I don't think anyone would mind if a kid rode a tricycle on the boardwalk.

I didn't no that's any posted rules about dogs. But I did see several dogs while they are and they were all on leashes, so I assume that is the acceptable rule.
