First time disappointed shame on them, second time disappointed shame on me. Never again!

If I could give this course no stars I would. Attempted to play there but when I inquired about the rate was given a rate different than what was published. Person at the desk was extremely rude. They simply do not care about customer service and it shows in their attitude when you speak with them. This is not the first time I have encounted rude customer service from this club, but it will be the last. This club is definitely not women user-friendly. Do yourself a favor and put your money elsewhere. Caledonia, even though owned by the same people, is by far a nicer course and the staff is nice and women golfer friendly. When you call Caledonia you will get the published rate, not a "rate of the day". Honestly, any of the courses in the area, Traditions, Willbrook, Hertiage, River Club, Founders are better courses and will be glad to have you play there because it's obvious True Blue does not want your money.

STAFF NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING (AGAIN)
Jul. 2021
This course needs to be more transparent about their dynamic pricing model that they are using and training their desk staff in manners. They advertise a misleading $49 twilight rate (subject to change), however, that is a unicorn and the majority of the twilights are at $59. One of my guests inquired about said twilight rate and was treated VERY rudely on the phone (and this is not the first experience with rude behavior). They could have nicely explained that they are using dynamic pricing, but instead chose to be snippy and hang up. There are a lot of courses in the area with much better conditions and nicer staff, so any of my guests and I won't be spending any $$$ at True Blue. Caledonia, Heritage, Traditions, National, TPC, etc. have much nicer courses and their staff are always super pleasant and courteous.

True Blue - too slow
May 2021
First, the course itself is very good. However the "experience" was one of the worst I have encountered. It took 1:45 to play the first 4 holes. We had a 9am tee time on True Blue and a 2:30pm tee time across the street at Caledonia. We had to leave the course on #17 to make our second time. When we told people who work at Caledonia about the situation they said it was typical. True Blue puts out too many people, too close together and with no supervision. I will never play here again.

Great clubhouse!
Mar. 2021 • Couples
We visited with our elderly grandparents. Used the putting green, had lunch at clubhouse and purchased merchandise from pro shop! Food selection and portion size was great, along with taste! 3 season room allows for entertainment watching golfers on 18th hole! Pro shop has great selection!

One of the nicest golf courses I have ever played !! I have already set up next years trip there to go back .The fairways were so lush that if need be you could hit your driver off the deck as the ball was sitting up so nicely. Can't wait for next years trip!!!!!

True Blue Never Disappoints
Jun. 2020
Been almost 6 months since my last round at True Blue and it remains one of my favorite courses on the Grand Strand.....some of the holes on that course will mesmerize you while waiting your turn on the tee box. You will definately use all of your clubs in your bag at True Blue. Great food at the grille if you would like to have breakfast before teeing off or lunch afterwards with plentiful portions. Free range balls before you play is a plus also.

course was in poor condition. fairways sparse with tufts of grass here and there. cart paths only at this price was a rip off. bunkers were terrible. won't see me again.

The True Blue Experience
Feb. 2020 • Couples
This course is another Mike Strantz gem and a true joy to play. With the wide fairways you can expect to hit it safely, but, if you don't keep it in the fairway you may be in one of the waste areas, or possibly water. The course is very well maintained, and the greens hold a good shot and putt true. With 5 different tee boxes this course is fun for all different handicaps. The Gold tees are set at just over 7,000 yards and the Green tees at just under 5,000 yards. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. This course was a bucket list course for me (I plan to play all Mike Strantz courses.

One of the Premier Courses on The Strand
Dec. 2019
Even though it was Cart Path Only, the course was in Great Shape but played long because of the wet conditions.....One of my favorite courses on the Strand, and never disappoints. It may be a bit pricey for some but worth it for the track you will be playing.
