Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am extremely disappointed with Polynesian Fire and their lack of concern for Covid protocol, which forces me to give a very poor review. I went to the show last night in Daytona Beach and there were several people admitted and allowed at the buffet without masks. I specifically asked if masks were required when I booked my tickets and it was confirmed that masks are required. When I was at the dinner show I pointed these people out to management and they told me they would be provided masks. This was not the case at all. They were not provided masks and were at the buffet and walking between tables without face masks. Polynesian Fire doesn't take this pandemic seriously and because they lied to me and show no concern or compassion for others I cannot give a good review.

After showing open dates in February and March on their website, a call to book the reservation revealed from an indifferent-sounding "Jason" that their show in Myrtle Beach doesn't open until APRIL.
I can't comment on the show or food, but the promotion and customer service is lackluster at best.
Very disappointed.

Well upon arriving there was clear signage and also we attended the show at Daytona Beach and definitely looking forward to checking out the show in Myrtle Beach. Everything was well organized and there was someone to assist you with seating, drinks, and it was a well planned event. Dinner was served there and they made sure that guests never ran out of food and I noticed that they kept the food area clean and utensils. They had gloves for all guests to use when getting the food. They did a good job on following safety guidelines. The performers truly put their heart into the show and their passion reflected that. They did a great job! with involving the audience and all I can say it was not a dull moment. They made everyone feel so welcomed. I'm thinking we might can make this a tradition. You should definitely go and check this out with the family or friends it makes for a great evening and the tickets are well priced. Parking was not an issue, it was more than enough.

We have gone to this show several times as a family and it’s always been fabulous. The food has always been exceptional, the dancers, musicians and total staff have always been wonderful. This time my son-in-law Jason was chosen to go on stage and we laughed so hard. There were 9 family members there and it’s a memory that will stay with us forever! I highly recommend this show.

My 15 year old daughter and I attended the Polynesian fire dinner show in Daytona Beach, Fl on 7/26/22. The ambience was amazing. We were given a leis when we 1st entered and our picture was right after , then we were escorted to our table. The food was really good and our waiter was fantastic. The show was excellent!! We really enjoyed it, it was entertaining from start to finish. All of the performers were great. The performer who was referred to as “the captain” was very funny and he kept the crowd laughing. The entire staff was very professional and helpful! I highly recommended this Polynesian fire dinner show if ever in Daytona, Fl area. I would not mind going again.

My husband and I went to the Polynesian Fire and Dinner show in Daytona Beach, FL. The food was EXCELLENT. Everything in the Buffet was great tasting! Since this is through COVID, they had everyone wear a mask to go to the buffet and wear plastic gloves that they give you. That made the experience a bit safe knowing that at the Buffet everyone was being careful. The dessert (vanilla cake or red velvet cake) was okay. I've had better! The Cash Bar drinks were at a reasonable price. The production was okay. The singers had good voices and the Fire dancing was great. Other parts of the show were just okay.

Show in Daytona Beach. The show was excellent as was the food. But the service was terrible. Everyone around us ordered drinks before the show and we're served. No one had even come to our table. I got out of my seat and found a server who wasn't even assigned to our table. She was going to serve us and then she came by our table and said the server assigned to our table would not allow the other one to serve us! I thanked her and waited. The person assigned to our table finally came and we placed our drink order. Ten minutes later, we still didn't have our drinks!! I again sought help and after doing that, our drinks appeared. The server picked up our plates after we ate and was gone before I had a chance to order another drink. I would have ordered a second drink, given the chance. Then when our check came at the end of the show, we had two charges we didn't make! After seeking out the server, she removed the charges not made.
I am a good tipper when the service is good, but not last night.

We attended the Fire Luai in Daytona Beach for our summer company party. All I have to say is WOW! Some of my employees were skeptical at first but were quickly proven wrong. From the overall booking experience to the hospitality of Jason the manager, the show, and the food, it was FLAWLESS! We were a larger group (50+) and that comes with challenges. Jason and all the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was great and the drinks were fire, literally. The show was incredible, between the jokes, crowd participation, and the dancing and fire there was something for everyone! This is worth every penny, I highly, highly recommend this! I will be taking my family back again.

We went to the Daytona Beach location of the Polynesian Fire Show at the Hawaiian Inn. This was a Valentines Day gift for my wife since next year we are going on a Hawaiian vacation. There are no words to describe how impressive the performers are! I’m still trying to figure out how the Samoan performer didn’t burn his tongue with a burning stick laying on it! I was invited on stage to retrieve the Peace Leaf. I am the River Pirate 13 on YouTube so I went into character and played along! I highly recommend seeing this show!

I see there are 2 locations in Myrtle Beach- St. Johns Inn and Plantation Hotel. Which one is better? Is there a difference? Plantation location is only on Wednesday night.

St. Johns Inn is where we went. The show was great the food was outstanding. The building is old and dated. If I were you I would try the Plantation first and then try St. Johns Inn next. I hope this information helps and may you have a wonderful time.
Have a blessed day.

Does this facility accommodate individuals with gluten allergies such as celiac disease?

The dinner is served buffet style. As I recall, there were gf options (salad, roast chicken, etc - but food was not labeled) -- but they don't do table service and I doubt they have the ability to do a special gf plated meal. It's more about the show than the food, for sure - I would plan ahead and either not eat if severe celiac, or bring something along with you that you can eat.

Thank you for your input. The dance you are speaking of was the “Haka”, it was thoroughly explained, including why they stick out their tongues. It is an ancient Maori War dance. Our dance group is comprised of LDS and Christians. We all have a family prayer night once a week. What you were seeing was a portrayal of an ancient Polynesian dance, which is the purpose of the show.

It was amazing!!! I loved it, so did my son! We purchased quite a bit of merchandise that night as well. The various dances and meanings that we explained were quite interesting, an I highly recommend this for everyone!!

Are their any reviews of the Plantation Resort location in Myrtle Beach? Also, any photos of the food served would be helpful.
Written 3 June 2018
This Thursday will be our first show at Plantation Resort, so we don't have any photos of that show, yet. We have had a sit down to sample the food offering and it is great. A professional chef is in charge of the food.

I went to Captains Bridge location. They have free parking (we parked on the lefthand side). You go into the office on the left side of the building and wait in the lobby until they open the doors (which are up the stairs towards the back of the lobby). Most of the show and buffet style dinner is held in a large ballroom/conference style type room. The fire part of the show is outside by the pool. The tables are set up in front of, and to the left side of the stage.

Who has been to the show at Captains Bridge?
Written 4 July 2017
Sorry for answering so late...just saw your question. It was not at Sharkey's due to Irma coming and we had a lot of rain, so they had us go north to an Inn at the last minute. We saw Sharkey's and was happy not to have to go there! I didn't tip for the meal or performers, but did the bartender.
