I love this park! We usually see alligators on the causeway going into the park, which is a great start. The southern beach area has a ranger station with a gift shop, restrooms. And lots of beachfront to enjoy! The north beach area is beautiful...More

We went on a day where the main beach was closed due to an art festival but the other beach was very nice although more crowded than it would have been without the art festival. Lots of fisherman as well.

Terrific beach to walk, nice, hard packed sand & no rocks. Found some interesting shells-Baby"s ears & Sea urchins. Very relaxing & peaceful in the early morning hours. When the tide is low, it is also good for biking before the beach crowd arrives. We...More

What a fun place to see a BEAUTIFUL beach, but also alligators, herons, birds of all kinds, etc. We so enjoyed our time at Huntington beach.

Went to see the alligators & the Antalya buding. But that was being occupied by the arts & crafts festival. Which you had to pay to get into. So we didnt go to that. We asked a parking director where we could see any alligators....More

You can get up close to a lot of wildlife, including gators. The park has some trails through the woods and also sits right on the beach. While there also check out the Atalaya Castle.

My wife and I visited Huntington Beach State Park after going to Brookgreen Gardens. We didn't have time for Atalaya but we walked the causeway and saw numerous alligators up close, and numerous snowy egrets. Beautiful park to visit!

Our PA friends group had our annual picnic there. Although there was a short walk from the parking lot, it was a very pleasant day with plenty of sunshine.

This was the selling point for me to buy property there. It's the next best thing to owning beach front. Having access not too far from home, and when on vacation the beach is just a few miles down the road. This is private and...More

According to the park rangers they are separate from the guests in the marshland. We were worried about that too but never seen one on the beach. The beach is like a mile from the marshland separated by a strip of land. I... More

The alligators can be seen anytime, they particularly like to 'sun' themselves out on the tiny island. A good location for viewing is on the overlook.

If you reserved the site, then it should be yours. I have seen tents blended in with RV sites multiple times in our travels there. I don't see it should be a problem. If you are concerned, you could call them, but... More
