My son and I visited Brookgreen Gardens today. What a beautiful place! The gardens were fabulous, and we enjoyed the zoo and butterfly house immensely. We will definitely return!

Lots of different activities for the whole family. We really enjoyed the boat ride and saw first hand what it took in human suffering to run the plantation. Lots of walking so plan ahead.

Love visiting here any day and any time of year. Beautiful and relaxing. Membership is a Christmas gift we receive every year, so we can go often and spend hours or a quick visit.

The gardens and grounds are very pretty. We did the pontoon boat marsh tour and got the history of the plantations and the crop, (rice), that was grown. The sculpture garden is beautiful, also. My only complaint is that there is a charge for everything....More

One way we have been able to keep our main admission price low is by breaking out those activities that not everyone may be interested in or able to do. With an adult admission of only $16 (good for 7 consecutive days!), the small additional...More

Great fun for the grandkids. The zoo is exactly the right size for a short excursion. The otters were by far the faves! There is also a Butterfly Exhibit that is extra but looks amazing as well (we were too late for the last show)....More

On my most recent visit to Brookgreen there were many varieties of flowers and trees in bloom. The colors were beautiful. Lilies of all varieties and hydrangeas were everywhere. There were also wild turkeys grazing in one area. The zoo is well worth the time...More

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children in addition to the garden admission and must be purchased at the Wall Lowcountry Center at least 10 minutes before tour time. Excursions last approximately 50 minutes.

The Lego exhibit is not here this year, but we have "Ribbit the Exhibit" until July 9th. It's a charming exhibit of larger than life copper frog sculptures. Our guests have really been enjoying it!

Is the whole area wheelchair accessible including the boat ride?

Hi there, Yes most of the gardens are wheelchair accessible and the boat ride is also. Brookgreen has three wheel adult "strollers" that may be easier to push through some of the garden pathways.
