This is one of my favorite State Parks to camp in. I usually try to get site #17 since is is a little more private and right on the lake. The park has some great trails that are not too strenuous, a great lake to...More

We booked a three night, four day mini vacation in Cabin 7 at Oconee State Park in Mid October. We left as soon as we could pack the car early the third morning, the cabin was that bad. We're big fans of state parks and...More

The lake sprung a leak and is taking awhile to fill back up but that's no problem. Still plenty of nature and good friends!

We planned a 20 mile hike from Fish Hatchery Road to Oconee State Park. We had originally planned to take four days and ended up finishing in three days. I recommend taking four days as the three of us are sore. I trained some and...More

We saw sign on side of road and decided to stop to stretch our legs. It was a great, easy hike, about 1/2 mile in, and the Falls were stunning! We ate a snack st bottom of them while families played in the water at...More

We booked a 7 night stay with our 30' RV at campsite near the lake. Campsites are very spacious and many provide some privacy unlike many other state parks. Rangers are best and nicest I have ever seen. They were very helpful with answers to...More

The campground offers nice size campsites. I really liked that most sites had plenty of shade. The check in procedure at the well stocked camp store was easy as I had a reservation. The bathhouse was clean but "tired" and in need of a facelift....More

Hi! Didn't stay in the campground this trip through, only was there for a beautiful day. You can call the park directly at 864-638-5353. I'm sure they could answer your question. Have a great time!
