I go out of my way to find places like this. So, I am easy to please. At this location, I was trying to find out if Pinckney truly was the "forgotten forefather". My conclusions after visiting the site and then doing my own research.......More

For free, this is a beautiful site run by National Parks not far from other attractions and shopping. I came for the Ranger led talk and was impressed. It was an enjoyable time with a tour of the house/farm and history lesson.

This is one of those places that not many a people know about this place but an important part of US history and history of the area. If you truly look at the history then you will walk away with mixed feeling about Charles Pinckney.

I had passed by this site a thousand time driving back and forth on Long Point Road. I finally decided to stop and was amazed to walk back 200+ years into the early governmental history of our country. The struggles and how it could all...More

The property is well-maintained with ample parking, and the museum has nice displays to educate you about Pinckney, who signed the U.S. Constitution and served as a governor, Senator and Congressman.
