Loved the oak lined drive up to the house. REALLY enjoyed the Gullah presentation. The information set up in the slave houses are an interesting read. They schedule WAY to many people at one time to do the house tour. Try cramming over 25 people...More

This was the last stop on our tour and I wish I had more personal time to spend expiring the plantation! The house tour was gorgeous but you can’t take pictures since it’s still a private residence. But outside the house you can take as...More

I love history and have visited plantations before and really enjoyed them. But Boone Hall was a major disappointment. The main house was not built until 1939.. My home was built before then, so big deal. The Boone Hall house is big and luxurious, but...More

My family met in Mt. Pleasant for brunch at Page's Okra Grill (so good!) and a tour of Boone Hall Plantation. I had been to Boone Hall Plantation a couple of times when I was growing up and remembered how much I loved it. However,...More

Full disclosure—I did Magnolia and Drayton the day before so it’s possible I’m just plantation-ed out. However, it is true that the house wasn’t built until 1936 (the guide did point that out right at the beginning), you aren’t allowed to take pictures inside the...More

The Boone Plantation is a historical walk through the Revolutionary past. The historical significance of this place is great and the guides are great. This Plantation was used as the setting for the movie “The Notebook” and more movies and shows. I defiantly recommend seeing...More

I enjoyed my time here. We spent about 5 hours and were able to see everything and take all tours at a leisurely pace and break for lunch. I felt I learned a lot about the slave experience and history here. The cabins are interesting-a...More

This was a beautiful place to visit. The Tour guides made it fun while they told us the history of the property. Everyone was nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

Boone Hall Plantation was well worth the time and admission. We learned so much history of our country. You get all aspects of life on the plantation, from the plantation owners to many aspects of slavery. There are several slave houses that are still on...More

You can just show up and buy them there or you can purchase them ahead of time. I purchased mine at the Visitor's Centre prior to going there when I bought my city tour there.

We spent about 3 hours, but we were highly motivated and interested. We found it educational. 1.5 hours you'd be pressing for time and would honestly miss the beauty of the trees, moss, landscaping, buildings.
