Played the new Atlantic dunes course what a fantastic course. We have played Ocean in the past and always enjoyed playing it. The restructure has made it a bit more challenging but well done

Thank you for your review of the all-new Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed playing on our new course! Atlantic Dunes is a complete reconstruction of the resort's historic Ocean Course, the first course built on Hilton Head. The holes have been entirely rebuilt to accommodate modern shot values and frame scenic... More

Before I speak of how great the actual course was. I first want to say how amazing the entire staff was! Thank you to everyone there for helping to make our golf day a great one. From the moment we got there our bags were taken to the cart and we were directed to the pro shop. All of the... More

This was my first time playing the course since it was redone and renamed Atlantic Dunes. The course was very nice. The routing has pretty much stayed the same. Not a lot of change to the front 9 in my opinion. The bunkers were redone and the greens made larger. But the holes pretty much remained the same. The only... More

This golf course is a bit difficult, but did enjoy the family tees for my average golf game. The greens were in great condition. Enjoyed the day, the weather and the course.

The old Ocean Course at Sea Pines has been redone by Davis Love III and is now called Atlantic Dunes. Solid golf course on Hilton Head. Firm fast fairways, quick greens. Lots of water though, and the green complexes are a bit much for a resort course. At 7099 yards it's a good test. Enjoy!

I am an 18 handicapper (originally a 10 handicap when I played more often) who hits the ball fairly long. I played the white tees but should've played the blue tees. Pace of play was fine although I went out early (~730am). I thought the course was interesting (hazards, dog legs, water, ...) but the greens were in pretty bad... More

With a name like " ocean course" you would expect to see the ocean but only on the green at (I think)16 do you see the ocean. Course is fine- it needs work but it's fine the pro shop runs specials so you get a discount if you play both courses however ocean is the lack of the 2 courses.... More

The Ocean Course was the second course my father and I played on our vacation. I have visited the Sea Pines Resort on previous vacations, but this was the first time playing golf on the resort. Visiting the resort previous times I knew you had to pay to get on, but I did not think you would have to pay... More

My wife and I played the course with two other vacationers from Chicago. It had rained the night before so it was cart paths only. We all struggled with the heat and high humidity and the extra walking. We felt cart paths only was a severe overreaction. The course wasn't that wet. The fairways and rough were in pretty good... I played with two of my son in laws and a friend. We had a great time. The new clubhouse and driving range are top notch. We were warned that the greens were undergoing aeirification and there were some areas that were obviously being worked on but still had a good experience. Its called the Ocean Course- I'm assuming this... More
