What a great place to reconnect with nature. You pay six bucks to get into the Sea Pines development which is extensive and upscale. They have set aside a large amount of acreage for this preserve. We had a hard time finding where to park but to keep it short we eventually found out if you take the driving route... More

There is a $6 entrance charge per vehicle to enter the Sea Pines area. Our family saw 3 larger sized gators, many species of birds, and several deer! The wildflower field was beautiful! There was a boat with a sign that said they also offer gator tours on the hour, each hour.

Visited the sea pines three times during our week stay. We took two tours through H20 sports and one boat ride to Savannah. They charge 6.00 each time you enter but worth it! Highly recommended spot to "get away from it all".

If you choose to pay the 5$ per car per day to enter the preserve you'll see many beautiful things. This is where you will have to go to do many of your activities such as the pirate cruise, dinner cruises and to access the shopping outlets etc. Many of the properties are privately owned and not access able unless you... The Boggy Gut walking trail was too much for our 7 year old so we turned back. But the quiet and natural state is great for spotting wildlife. We did a fishing experience at Fish Island with Sea Pines activities, and saw alligators, turtles, and herons up close and personal. The kids loved it, and caught one fish.

There's nothing like a stroll through a forest to put you in touch with nature. We were there to see the Indian Shell Ring. It was very interesting. I always enjoy learning about local history and this did not disappoint. Quiet, peaceful, good fishing, but watch out for the 'gators!!

We did have some trouble finding this spot. There are two entrances and only one of them can you drive through. The other one is trails for hiking only. Lots of trails in here and you can ride your bike in too. We did see gators and a turtle swimming. You can go on an alligator boat tour too. And... More

This has a walking or driving option. We drove around and parked where we saw a small dock. At the end of the dock was an alligator and some turtles! It was a very pretty drive!
