Cool morning but great beach

My daughter and I drove to Folly Beach from Charleston. Neat little town. We found the county park to get to the beach. Cool morning so not many people there. Lots of shells.

Great Beach no garbage, no drunks! If you like to hang out on the beach, this is the beach to be, only one major hotel, which keeps the population down.

Folly Beach is a beautiful beach with a very laid back, relaxed feel. Great for taking walks and combing for shells. We stayed at the Tides which is located right on the beach and there are volleyball nets up there. It is also a dog friendly beach.

We enjoyed sitting on this beach and people watching. Walked on the pier which is very fisherman friendly. Surfers were in the ocean and under the boardwalk is where they hung out in colorful hammocks. We will go back this weekend.

Plenty of space to get a tan or throw around a ball. Good for shelling and a nice long walk on hard sand.

Beautiful scenery and easy to access. Unfortunately it was cold, cloudy, and windy when we went. Still had a great time on the pier, and walking the beach looking for shells.

It was 80 degrees and sunny. The surf was up and the water pretty cold but for Feb. 24 it was great!

This is a gorgeous beach to walk and look for sand dollars and sea shells. Sometimes you can see a beach-fisherman catch something cool, like a baby hammerhead shark.

This review is about THE BEACH. The beach extends for miles. Access is available at every street. The street system is basic. Either North or South starting with 1st Street each way. Paid parking can be found at the end of each street. Or you can do as we did and park along the side street at NO cost. Be... More

I love Folly Beach. It is such a paradox. I love that it feels undiscovered with minimal chain stores. It has a bohemian 60s vibe with some layed back yuppie (Lost Dog) with a biker bar in the mix and the required crab shack (yum). A great place to walk the beach, thrown on crocks and visit stores and pop... More
