Absolutely beautiful. Kay is so informative. She tells you personal stories of the family that lived there. The home and grounds are very well kept.

We were spending the night in Florence and by chance called the Columns to see when we could get a tour. Kay, the wife of the owner of the property, invited us out that evening. She personally gave us a tour of the grounds and...More

We came for annual civil war reenactment and were able to tour the house. Youre only permitted in the lower living areas as the Rankin family descendants still live in the house. There was a period wedding when we were there which looked lovely. It's...More

The staff was super friendly. The wedding was held outside under beautiful old oak trees. Off the beaten path...but loaded with beauty!

This old plantation is so beautiful, We have attended two mothers Days dinners here and both times was a wonderful experience. The home has such beauty and is preserved in the 1900s. Defiantly a place to visit.

Lots of history here. You can tour the house (just a few downstair rooms). They let us roam the grounds and later we watched the battle. Very interesting. I think they only do this once a year.

We've been three times, once for a wedding reception and twice during the Civil War reenactment. Got to see the inside of the house during the reception only, was sparse, could have had more period furnishings to awe at but maybe they were cleared out...More

Extremely well kept plantation home with many columns. There is a War between the States reenactment ever March that is worth attending. There are many vendors available. Don't miss visiting the Columns while in Florence, SC

We went to see this in the morning. It seemed kinda run down and dead to me. The house was impressive in scale and that was what impressed my wife. We walked around the outside a bit and it had the long drive with trees...More
