The interpretive signs at the well-preserved battlefield provide great insight into this late battle in the Civil War as the Confederates made their last push against Gen. Sherman's Army. A walk on the trail at the battlefield can be extremely enlightening. The picnic grounds and...More

Great hidden historic civil war park in a beautiful swampy area. The site is way off the beaten path, but worth it for history buffs. Beware of the mosquitoes though. It is an easy path that loops around. Would be good for kids and pets.

Excellent picnic areas, well maintained facilities and interesting displays should mean this park is busy, but it's location makes it tough for some folks. The staff was very friendly, even the groundskeeper had a wealth of information about the park.

Interesting Civil War battleground. Trails and markers well maintained. The markers were very easy to locate and provided adequate information. Would have liked to have had a map to use.

This small park interprets and preserves a small battlefield. But, the story is a large one and the site is pristine. No visitor center but an excellent self-guided trail that well explains the battle. It's off the beaten path but certainly worth making a detour...More

Although this park is off the beaten track, for those who are history or War Between the States buff, this is a place you need to visit. There are several earthen fortifications which remains just like they were used in the 1865 battle. I went...More
