Great hidden historic civil war park in a beautiful swampy area. The site is way off the beaten path, but worth it for history buffs. Beware of the mosquitoes though. It is an easy path that loops around. Would be good for kids and pets.

Excellent picnic areas, well maintained facilities and interesting displays should mean this park is busy, but it's location makes it tough for some folks. The staff was very friendly, even the groundskeeper had a wealth of information about the park.
