Sad and creepy . Spent 220.00 for three people , not worth it at all . The boat ride over was nice is the positive thing .

Melrose is currently closed for the second time. The resort looks like it was totally left and abandoned after work one day. It’s crazy as the golf flags are still up, although tattered. The resort looks like. Battle occurred there, I attached some pictures. Not...More

The history of this resort is multiple failed attempts to make a go of it. It appears to have been fabulous in it's day. It has been vandalized and is overgrown. There are beautiful large homes around the gold course. It appears that they are...More

We explored the ruins of the old inn which was fascinating, creepy and sad. Looks like some of the smaller beach cottages are being renovated and the beach pool:club is coming back. Beautiful property. Would love to come back in 5/10 years and see how...More

This course is now defunct and the entire area is sort of sad and decrepit. It is quite sad and eery. This whole area is a ghost resort - with tons of decrepit homes and building and a course that has totally fallen apart. Very...More

So many buildings are in disrepair and the golf course is greatly overgrown. Sad to see all the doors on the inn open on the land side. Some people still in residence but it looks like a cross between Chernobyl and a Stephen King novel....More

Sadly, there is no golf course -- just an overgrown patch of meadow. There is, well nothing there. No inn, no clubhouse, no pool, nothing. I drove through and all there is are empty promises. So sad.

We stayed in one of the, cottages in Melrose. It is sad. You pass 10 to 20 abandoned and storm ruined houses. No golf course. No pool. Nothing we thought we were getting when we booked here.

Sadly, this beautiful course has been closed and fallen into disrepair post-Hurricane Matthew. It was amazing that it stayed functioning as long as it did--thanks to an amazingly dedicated staff.

We were guests of the Melrose area renting for a week. My husband, BIL and nephew went to the clubhouse to sign up for a day of golfing 18 holes, with a cart, renting clubs - it was not going to be a cheap outing....More
