We visited during Eclipse Weekend 2017 and were, at first, disappointed to learn that most of the galleries were closed for renovation. Despite that we spend an enjoyable two hours strolling through the creatively and cleverly organized exhibits: "That 70s Show" and "Retooled". As NYC...More

Columbia Museum of Art is undergoing extensive renovations and most galleries are closed until August 2018. As a result, the only gallery open in early September was the That 70's Show exhibit. Fittingly, the museum is offering free admission. With most of the museum closed,...More

My grand daughter came to Columbia with a friend and stayed with us over a few days. In that the city is not a tourist mecca, we thought that this would be a pleasant place to visit and were not disappointed. I was skeptical about...More

We visited the Columbia Museum of Art and I personally loved the exhibitions. That 70's Show showed cool art from the collection. I loved reading the posters for every single year from 1970-1979. I was walking down Memory Lane. I enjoyed the nostalgia viewing art,...More

The museum does seem to be charging half-price admission as compensation....More

We were surprised to find out this museum was having a "Fairy Tale" Dalí exhibition since March of this year. The museum was showing several of Dalí's illustrations based on Alice in Wonderland, Grimm Brothers, and Don Quijote. My daughter who is 12 is a...More

Coming from the Main St entrance, it appears mostly like a small shop; however, once you walk past the shop into the main hall you realize the size of the museum with all its attractions. Great pit stop for families.
