Especially in the fall a fun area to visit. Lots of shops and just an interesting part of the area. World market has a touch of everything European.

Had a great time at the annual chili cook off in Five Points! The streets were filled with people and the music was great!

Unless everyone was hiding somewhere else, this seemed to be the most active area on a summer evening. We were here before USC started their fall 2016 classes, so I imaging it might be a little crowded when the students arrive in town. Hey, triple the fun, eh?

Five Points is a USC and Columbia tradition. The area is full of great restaurants, stores, and pubs. it is located very near USC, and has a great mix of students, families, and professionals.

It's all a bit dated but a place to hang. A couple good shops...check out 2G's for women's clothes, the Gourmet Shop for good (but overpriced) goodies. The Drip is a great coffee shop...good place to meander. But, almost all of the restaurants are over rated...head down to the Vista district for better eats.

Looking for an afternoon stroll while here for quick trip, area has metered parking and shops and restaurants are for the college crowd. Not much to see for our age 50 - 55.

Really located at intersection of 5 streets with a beautiful fountain in the middle. Difficult to find parking, however everything is within walking distance once you park. Designated more for the college crowd but a fun place to visit during the day. I have been to concerts and parades in this area and for St Pat's day the fountain is... More

There are a lot of restaurants, bars and shops the this area. It is very close to the USC campus. Campus shuttles can bring students down to the area during designated times if they don't want to walk or drive. This area is very busy during the school year.

Five points is an area below USC that has shops, restaurants (I recommend yesterday's), and bars (I recommend Group Therapy). Unfortunately the area has been infested with thugs whose presence comes and goes depending on the willingness of the Columbia Police Department to keep the area safe for patrons versus engaging in their more lucrative pursuit of issuing parking citations!...
