We enjoyed a nice walk along the river with our dog. There were joggers, bikers and other dogs but not overly crowded

It's a river - if you've seen one - you've seen one. Nothing special here - a bit swampy in areas attached to the river - hard to get down to actual river in wet weather.

This is a great place to walk the 4 legged friend! Also, there a river front chairs and a place to picnic. If it is nice out and you are in this area it is a great place to make a stop.

I like changing up where I walk my dog from my neighborhood to different parts of Columbia and Lexington. This is a great spot to bring dogs for a walk. Not the prettiest scenery but it's a change from the city streets.

The Columbia Riverfront Park and Columbia Canal are a great place for a nature walk, light job or easy bike ride. The trail meanders the rivers path as is flows through downtown just in view of the Capital.

A great walk between the canal and the river, very peaceful. A great place to ride a bike walk a dog or any other outdoor activity that lends itself to a flat paved path

Every time we visit Columbia we will take a 4-5 mile ramble along this picturesque trail. It's well-maintained, populated with lots of friendly people, and just fun to walk.

The riverfront and canal walking trails are wonderful. There's plenty of room for bicyclists, pedestrians, dogs, roller skaters, etc. on the paved lanes, and there are trails that duck down to the water's edge if you're looking for something more challenging. Shade can be an...More

We stopped here, not knowing what to expect other than a view of the river. After taking the path around the city’s sanitary sewer facilities(!), we discerned the beautiful canal and river walk. We couldn’t see the waterfall side of the dam, but we did...More
