Glad that we were able to stop in the capitol and make it to this beautiful, old building. Not to mention plenty of nice restaurants, coffee shops, etc that were within easy walking distance.

The grounds are great in March. The azaleas and dogwood are going crazy. We spent time checking out the statue and monuments. Wade Hampton of course, but when have you seen a Mexican War Memorial. The building was closed.

The State house should be of great interest to kids but ONLY if it is in session. Then it is great to see governing in action and the term lobbying takes on a new meaning when seen live. Make your plans accordingly.
