More
One of only five National Historic Landmarks within Columbia, the Robert Mills House exemplifies the skill of the first architect born and trained within the United States who designed some of the nation's most prominent buildings, including the Washington Monument. Today, the structure stands as a testament of its designer's architectural ability and the preservation efforts of generations of Columbians. --- Historic Columbia is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Columbia and Richland County's historic and cultural heritage.

This was a guided tour of the property. The guide was well informed and the tour took us through the home and around the outside of the property.

I took my here for candle light tour. The guides did great job. The downstairs was more interesting. To see family dining room and the pantry and preparation rooms was worth the visit.

Our guide gave us lots of information as we explored the home. The house was very interesting, but I could have done with less talking by the guide.

We visited on an unusually warm December day. The grounds are very nice, well tended, and very colorful. We were surprised at the number of plants still in bloom. Enjoyed our walk in the gardens and subsequent tour of the Woodrow Wilson home.

We went on a rainy day, but the tour was excellent and the tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. The stories told about the house, each room and various furnishings were fantastic. Definitely worth a stop when you are in Columbia.

Beautiful house, well furnished. Very energetic and knowledgeable guide. Great information about the era. The only drawback was that the tour started late. Otherwise, it was excellent.

Preserved by Historic Columbia Foundation-it is the one of the many historic homes in Columbia. From the office you can brain directions to the other Historic Landmarks in Columbia.

The Robert Mills House is a beautiful historic home and taking a tour is a great way to spend an afternoon in Columbia! Tours are informative and engaging with lots of interesting antiques to view. The grounds around the house are also lovely.
