My Sister and I took are two children ages 8 and 5 to the zoo...Although we had to brave the hot weather the zoo was wonderful....They have done some remodeling and made lots of improvements...We didn't go to the botanical area but I am sure...More

The grounds were in good condition, pretty flowers and shrubs in pots, it was hard to overlook the smallness and barren pen the four elephants were in. Not to mention the awful enclosure for the lions, so artificial and hardly any shade for these lovely...More

Our son took us and his family here on a cool afternoon. There weren’t many people there, so the botanical garden open areas were rather empty, but we could understand why this park would be full when the temps get warmer. The botanical gardens are...More

We took the kids to celebrate a birthday. The zoo was awesome and the kids loved it. What’s not to like about a zoo. It was clean and spacious. You won’t be disappointed.

Just a tad biased, as I live in this area. The Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden represents two of the best attractions in the Midlands of SC, and each is deserving of its own visit. The Zoo is top-notch, very family friendly, relatively inexpensive for...More

The zoo makes a conscious effort to support environmental sustainability while educating all walks of life of animals in the exhibits. Plenty of concessions and interaction to keep people engaged!

We always love taking our grandkids to the zoo, because they always have a great time! There are so many displays and exhibits that they can engage in. Absolutely recommended!

Be sure to spend time at the lions as the triplets are entertaining. They were most playful when it was raining some. Not many people at the zoo.

Riverbanks deserves every award it has received. If you appreciate animal conservation, this is the zoo to visit. The exhibits are animal and human friendly. If you get a chance to visit, it is a must see.

I have visited the zoo many times and each time I find it enjoyable and interesting. I discover new things that I didn't see the previous time. The animals are well-kept and the exhibits that are inside are very well done. It's a great place...More

I bought a family pass that’s good for 13 months with extra passes & tickets for special events. I think I paid $125 or $150 for this. I believe just to walk up to the ticket booth, it’s $20 for adults &. $16 for kids.
