Went with high school kids on this tour. Very interesting the guide told us a lot about the happenings back in the day. We tour some other areas of Charleston. I thought it was a great tour. He talked about a lot of the ghosts.

We were told that this experience would be ending soon so if you're on the fence about it I would say go for it. Very informative and fun tour.

Let your mind wander and have no preconceived notions about this place and it will give you chills. If you go into it like the Haunted House in Disney, you will be disappointed. Take it seriously. There are spirits here. Its subtle but you could...More

The jail tour was really fun and the history of the jail and the city was great. It's sad to see that this place is going to be remodeled and become offices. It didn't seem to be in the best of areas so I'd be...More

My husband and I both felt the tour was interesting but overpriced. The tour guide was nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable about the jail's history. We did look at our pictures later and captured a very creepy looking face.

Ok, so it was cool to be there for the last evening tour. The history was interesting, but the tour itself was very boring and our party of 15 thought that the money spent could of been used differently. Not scary, except for when my...More

We did the "haunted" jail tour at 7pm. I am really into history and this tour lacks much of the history that makes this building interesting. The tour is short and is about 45 minutes. The rooms were dark and lighting was limited to a...More

We toured the jail during the day - I wanted to really be able to see everything. Stephen Beard did our tour and he was really great. He was very knowledgeable and just a wealth of information - and knew the answers to all my...More

Undoubtedly the creepiest ghost tour I have ever been on. The outside was creepy enough, but once you entered without any overhead lighting, it was really eerie. Andrew, our tour guide was great

You wouldn't be able to get the tickets on site. I booked directly through Bulldog Tours, who is the only tour company that does the night tours at the jail.
