Beautiful harbour view. Too bad there is not a footbridge. Even from a distance this is an attractive city feature.

The Ravenel Bridge is stunning. Love The view at sunset. It replaced the old Cooper River Bridge. Very modern and easy to travel.

A well-designed and built bridge that is high enough to accomplish two goals: (1) give beautiful skyline views of the coastal Charleston County, and (2) keep viewers far enough above the waterfront to not smell its foul stench or to not see the local water's 2-inch-or-less visibility.

The Arthur Ravenel Bridge is a thing of engineering beauty. You get the best view of it from the water on the boat that goes to Fort Sumter. Also, great fun to drive over.

After you have stuffed yourself silly with fine Charleston dining, take a hike across the Ravenel to burn some calories. The walking lane is nice and wide, with a barrier to keep pedestrians and traffic separated. Note that the slope of the bridge is deceptive, this walk would not be one for someone who never walks or has difficulty walking.... More

John and Washington Roebling would be so proud of this bridge (the father/son team that built the Brooklyn Bridge). The view from the top is pretty great. It's a climb but you can do it. You won't be disappointed!

I love Charleston. Nice place to go for a couple of days to just get away. Everything is within walking distance.

This is a not to be missed in my opinion. The views from the bridge are spectacular. The city makes it super easy to park and made it kid friendly by adding a large playground underneath the bridge. There are also nice restrooms should it be necessary.

Walked across. Beautiful views. Can be a bit windy. Check the time of day you go and make plans for the return.

Great walk! Great way to get a little exercise while seeing the Charleston Harbor. We walked from the Mt. Pleasant side to the second suspension arch. We could see everything including the Yorktown, Fort Sumter, the battery and downtown Charleston. You can walk the whole thing and back if you like but we were in a time crunch. Dogs aren't... More
