Amy was great. Very knowledgeable, lots of good supporting documents to help bring the area to life. Good speaker. Well worth the ticket price.

We went to about five different art galleries and they were all different and enjoyable. We met some really interesting people, had a few nibbles of food and drank a glass of wine. It's the first Friday of every month. If you have the opportunity to go, just walk into the first art gallery you see. They will have a map of the other art galleries. While we were not in the market for any art when we went, I did end up buying a unique piece of jewelry.

If you have an opportunity to take in an Art Walk in Charleston, go for it ! The first Friday of each month, they start relatively early 5-530 and it’s over by 730-8. It’s a great way to sss a lot of galleries’ works without feeling like you’re going to be pressured into buying when you walk into a gallery. Though, you may want to buy a piece by the end of the evening

Neat, clean, covered expanse of friendly vendors. Tons of local flavor with crafts, culinary fare, shirts and other items of interest...

This is a once a month event in the French Quarter of Charleston which includes galleries on Broad Street, Church Street, East Bay Street, Queen Street, King Street, Meeting Street and others. These are some photos from several galleries on the November Art Walk. There is usually an artist opening at each gallery. Some do put out light snacks. Many of the artists are available to answer questions about their art. It's from 5 pm until 8 pm and there are maps available at many of the galleries with the locations of the participating galleries. This is a fun night, but wear shoes for walking.

French Quarter Inn off of Market Street
greeted by Taylor who knew our name and took care of our vehicle with a big smile
A friendly hello from Jenny and Kim at the front desk, easy check in and a glass of champagne and we felt like were were in a private home
after lunch when we returned the front desk manager made a point to make sure everything was ok and we were introduced to the general manager Carlo who also wanted to make sure that our need s were filled
Anice who was serving wine was extremely friendly and a genuine person
the lady who cleans our rooms promised me a glass of mild in the refrig that night-I forgot her name but a great personality
All in all a great experience
we will return during the Christmas holidays

We toured ourselves & enjoyed it immensely. Beautiful houses & gardens. With all the wonderful colors.Loved the quiet of walking in historical residential area. Less cars & people. Used google map & loved the discovery of alleys & gardens. Was there during the Spoleto festival when individuals open their gardens for benefitting the horticultural society.
