This is a little further outside the main hub of Charleston than we thought so it is worth driving where access is free and troublefree. The whole complex is spectacular with some very handsome buildings which house this military college. It is easy to walk...More

Terrific attraction that must not be missed. We did the coach tour and the driver was most knowledgable and interesting, from the giant college ring to the historic aircraft(s).

We were living near the Citadel and it is a massive campus with out buildings and stadiums. It historically " stole" half of Hampton park preventing the city and area having a lovely waterfront park. The academy has faux castle like features which is tasteful...More

Yes, you can walk around and walk into some of the buildings. There are no reservations required. The parades are only on Fridays during the school year and are typically at 3:30pm.
