We enjoyed exploring and shopping in Charleston City Market on a hot and humid Friday afternoon. There were lots of great vendors and things to look at. It was also a great place to cool off on a hot day!

There is such a variety of shops in this complex, if you can't find it here, you don't need it! The fact that it is in such an historic facility makes the visit more worthwhile.

Charleston city market is huge! There is so much you can get there, and all the vendors are super friendly. It's typically pretty crowded, so watch your kids!!! You can get anything from baskets to cookbooks to house decorations to beautiful pillowcases. Definitely would recommend!!

This is a must to see, the vendors are charming, the items are beautiful. There are public bathrooms that are always clean. It is located in the heart of the city.

There is so much history in this city and this is an attraction that you need to visit at least once. It now serves as somewhat of a flea market, air conditioned in the middle area. It can be very crowded.

If you've never walked the market, then you must do so. Tons of friendly people, and the locals are perfect. Some may complain of the prices, but it's a "flea" type market, so try to bargain the price down. Lots of place to eat in...More

This place is pretty cool. I'm not sure how many city blocks long it is, I think we walked 3. Amazing, neat and cool crafts. Some things I've never seen before. Definitely would go back. Loved the roses made from palm tree leaves.

Always fun to walk through this market. Loaded with local artists and craftsmen. Not high end but you may just find a treasure that speaks to you!

This is the place to go for all those tourist gifts everyone likes to buy. Large variety. Just wish they stayed open later.

I am Not sure about that... didn't see any dogs on leashes in the market area. We live here in Charleston but I've never brought our dogs into the market.

Hi, there! If you are going to be at the market or that area for any length of time, I feel that the best place to park is in the nearby ramp. When heading south on Meeting Street, go a block past the market and turn left on... More
