I accidentally found this place and was so pleased that I did. I chose to do the self guided tour, as the 2 hour one was more time than I was able to spend. Even so, the posted signs, film, and museum exhibits within the cabins were enough to intrigue. I was , actually, delightfully surprised at how nice the... More

This was my second visit and I was terribly disappointed in the walking tour. The buildings were closed and the lights were out in one of the cabins. It was beautifully built but has not been maintained. After using money from a grant or loan to establish this site, it seems as if funds are low. The clerk could not... More

If you are remotely interested in Revolutionary War History then this is a "don't miss". Is a good sized site so plan on walking. I heard they are now charging a modest fee for entrance but if it's only a few bucks then it would be worth it. Very informative and good for the whole family.

There are several reconstructed homes on site that gives you a view of how they lived during that time period. There are 2 types of tours offered, self guided and with a knowledgeable guide. A guide was not available on the day we were there but we enjoyed looking around on our own. There were several artifacts available and plenty... More

Camden is a lovely old South Carolina town full of lots of history. The Revolutionary War Park is near the Interstate and easy to get to. It is worth a trip to walk the grounds and get a feel for events that happened that shaped our country. There was not as much Revolutionary action in South Carolina as other states,... More

We visited on a day when the staff was absent, but the layout and signage is sufficient to give one at least a rudimentary taste of what the Battle of Camden was like and how it fit into the fabric of the Revolution. Some buildings were open and were furnished with appropriate displays. The park seems well-maintained. Would suggest checking... More

Went in November, 2016 and will not return. Not a lot to see or do except watch the blacksmith or tour the houses. Reenactors? Not on Sunday!

A lovely site with several period buildings. We couldn't stay for the tour, but I'd suggest calling ahead to get the time so you can arrange to take the tour and see the big house (Kershaw-Cornwallis ?).

Neat collection of interesting historic buildings. One decorated as an old tavern. Large, historical mansion on grounds used by militia during the Civil War
