What a good view into a new National Park. The history museum is nice but the reconstruction center just built across the street is fascinating. Before the war ended the slaves were schooled and brought into a new free society.More

We watched a video there learned some facts.The lady there was so nice.We walked and really enjoyed our day.

We loved our visit. Very helpful docent. Lots of Beaufort history here. It is small so an hour would be sufficient time, but it has lots of interesting facts and artifacts from Beaufort.

We had taken a history walk in the morning and they stopped outside the museum. We thought it would be interesting so we went back later. It's pretty much self guided and pretty interesting.
