This was the highlight of the vacation portion of our trip! The horse was great and the young lady who drove and narrated the tour was very knowledgeable and just as nice as she could be. The homes we saw were beautiful and the information about them very interesting. We totally loved it.

I have taken this ride several times, and I always learn something new about the history of Beaufort.
We live in Hilton Head, and when we have guests, we always bring them to Beaufort for a buggy tour.
The tours are on time, the drivers knowledgeable, and the ride is very enjoyable!

We had a close friend visiting from Canada. This Buggy Tour was a great way to introduce her to Beaufort and it’s history.
The young woman driving the Buggy was focused, informative and humorous.
I would definitely encourage other locals to take their guests on a tour

The registration was simple, thank you. Tyler did such an outstanding job speaking to our tour group on Monday, June 21, 2021. There was an abundance of interesting info she shared and it even took longer due to two road detours. Her and the horse handled it so well. This tour will surely be spread to family and friends as they travel to Beaufort, SC, one day. Thanks for a lovely tour!!

This carriage ride tour of Beaufort was relaxing, informative, and fun. Southern Rose Tours took extra caution for personal safety during the Pandemic situation with separation of parties, sanitizing, and utilizing a sound system to make up for the panels which made it difficult to hear our tour guide. The start of the tour was rather late, but they made up for it with a nicely done presentation.

A great way to learn the local history. We had walked all over Beaufort and had already seen a lot of the sites visited in this tour, but the narrative filled in the backstory of what we had seen in an entertaining (but not hokey) and informative way. The horses were very well taken care of and the guide was very attentive to our horse. The price was exceptionally reasonable.

Although all tour guides are good, I feel that Ana is in her own category. This was my 4th ride with her in 3 years. She is always in a good mood, very sweet and very funny. She is easy to hear and has many interesting stories to tell. I look forward to taking her ride every time I visit.

Very informative and professionally done. Great tour of downtown Beaufort with historical comments.. Would recommend to anyone interested in history. Very knowledgeable guide --mixed comments with some humorous stories. An hour well spent!

This tour was exactly what I hoped it would be & more. Our guide, Anastasia & her horse “Link” were in sync from the get go. She made all of us very comfortable & explained how well the horses are taken care of on a daily basis. From that moment going forward, she set the tone & I was thoroughly impressed with her knowledge & her sense of humor. Her ability to share stories with others in the way she does is a gift. She highlighted several crucial moments in history, locally & around the neighboring cities. I appreciated her efforts & learned lessons that were largely applicable to today’s culture. If anyone is in the Beaufort area— go check out the tour! The area is stunning!

You will love it - although depending on the weather it could be quite hot - if so, it's too hot for the horses, too!
I do believe Ashley was our guide and she was wonderful - her enthusiasm for the town and its history was contagious! She is quite knowledgeable, too....have fun......

so sorry fir the delay I don't think they will allow pets around the horses or so many people from the public around, the lines inside the barn, etc. Too many people will want to love ur dog !

My family will be in town for a wedding on August 6, and we want to do this tour in the morning. Can we book now or will you wait to see what the weather will be like that day? We would be interested in a morning tour, around 10:00 if there is one at that time.

hi i would book we was there in early june was not that busy but in august it will be...its easy to park near the tour there is a big parking lot on bay street right next to the tour office and trolley make sure you pay to park they are pretty strict around there there are loads of parking meters(they want to make make us pay!)..tour is useful though we enjoyed it very good guides..think it costs about 18-20 dollars...if you want eats try blackstones cafe think its on scott street best smoked salmon salad ive had good prices..enjoy the tour....dont forget to go over the bridge where forrest gump ran across over the mississippi !!!!...its not the mississippi river as you know but it is the bridge they used in the film,,enjoy

Good Evening,
Carriage tours are approximately 55 minutes long completely narrated with the History and tales of Old Beaufort.
The cost is $21 per adult and $8 per child ages 5 thru 12.
It is best to call 843-524-2900 between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to make a reservations as tours are on a set schedule and we have limited tours during the summer due to the heat conditions.
